Become an Independent Medical Examiner
WorkSafe Victoria is seeking applications from medical and allied health professionals to join the existing panel of approved independent medical examiners (IMEs) able to conduct independent medical examinations in accordance with section 112 of the Accident Compensation Act, 1985.
More than 300 medical and allied health practitioner IMEs in 25 specialties conduct independent medical examinations and provide independent clinical opinions, playing a critical role in ensuring the workers compensation scheme provides the right benefits and treatments to injured workers.
WorkSafe Victoria is seeking to add suitably qualified practitioners to its existing panel to provide independent medical examinations in an impartial and timely manner. Opportunities now exist for practitioners from all disciplines.
Applicants must have at least five years of clinical experience and are currently in eight hours of clinical practice each week. Experience in working with compensable clients is an advantage.
