Original Employer Services
A new OR model, Original Employer Services (OES) to assist workers to return to work with their pre-injury employer was transitionally implemented from 31st March 2008 with full implementation scheduled for the 1st July 2008. Original Employer Services (OES) aims to provide a structured approach to OR, to ensure consistent service delivery and to impact positively on return to work outcomes for workers remaining at, or returning to work with their pre-injury employer.
OES aims to encourage outcome based purchasing of OR services whilst adding structure and consistency, through the use of standardised reporting and incentive fees. OES is based on fee for service with incentive fees to be paid to OR providers when significant RTW goals have been achieved and sustained for the nominated period.
Please see the OES operational guidelines attached here for further information
The "Original Employer Services - Information for Worker" brochure contains frequently asked questions to assist workers to understand how OES can assist them to remain at/return to work with their pre-injury employer
Original Employer Services Report Templates
Occupational rehabilitation providers are required to complete a number of reports as part of the Original Employer Services model to assist a worker return to work with their pre-injury employer.
When seeking payment for Original Employer Services, an occupational rehabilitation provider must submit the relevant report along with an appropriate invoice to the WorkSafe Agent.
