Returning to Work
Helping injured workers back to safe and sustainable work, as soon as possible, is good for the worker and good for business. Returning a worker to safe and sustainable work can:
- assist with the injured workers recovery,
- assist an employer to maintain productivity,
- improve workforce morale and
- help keep Workplace Injury Insurance premiums down.
It is the responsibility of employers, injured workers, WorkSafe agents and treating health professionals to work as a team to facilitate a safe and sustainable return to work. All parties have an important role to play in the return to work process.
