Self-employed persons

If you are a self-employed person, you essentially have the same legal duties as an employer.

You must ensure, as far as reasonably practicable, that people are not exposed to health and safety risks arising from your work.

You also have a specific duty under the hazardous substance part of the Regulations not to use a prohibited substance.
