Repositioning the OHS Professional

WorkSafe kicked off the ‘Repositioning the OHS Professional’ strategy in September 2007 during a meeting with Victoria’s OHS educational and professional bodies.

At this meeting, the participants established the Health and Safety Professionals Alliance (HaSPA) to develop and drive a process for achieving better OHS outcomes.

The purpose of HaSPA is to:

  • promote OHS as an area of professional practice
  • enhance the quality of OHS professionals
  • improve OHS service delivery to workplaces, and
  • improve OHS in Victorian workplaces.
