Up coming key activities
By January 2009, HaSPA and WorkSafe will have completed the ‘Repositioning the OHS professional’ workplan:
- Members of OHS associations now have Victorian Code of Ethics and Minimum Service Standards for Professional Members of OHS Associations to guide their practice and ensure the quality of their services
- Educational and training bodies will be working together for a consistent core body of OHS knowledge for generalist OHS professionals, which will guide their curriculum and ensure that students and new professionals have a consistent knowledge base
- Employers have detailed guidance to help them to select Suitably qualified OHS professionals
- This website will be updated to reflect the direction of the strategy and make it easier for OHS professionals, trainers and workplaces to find the information they need.
- Compliance activities will begin.
