OHS Professionals

There are more than 1100 occupational health and safety (OHS) practitioners in Victoria offering a variety of services - from general advice on safety matters to providing specialty services focused on a single aspect of OHS such as asbestos control, dangerous goods or air monitoring.

Victorian employers rely on these OHS professionals to help them assess and manage their OHS issues. Although OHS professionals play a vital role, the consistency of services can vary between providers.

WorkSafe is working with the OHS community to ensure that Victoria’s OHS community provides quality and consistent services.

This information will help you to understand WorkSafe’s ‘Repositioning the OHS professional’ strategy and how it will affect you.
